Penticton Seniors' Drop-In Centre Society

Our membership is open to everyone aged 50+. We are also know as South Main Drop-In Centre.

Our Impact Why We Exist

The purpose of this Society is to create a better life style for seniors by having their own Drop-In Centre.  At this time we have over 700 members.  We offer a stimulating venue with spaces to entertain our diverse members' social and activity needs.

We are a volunteer based organization designed to improve Seniors, and indeed all of societies, wellbeing - physically, socially & mentally.

Our Story What We Do

We are a venue for seniors to keep active, physically, socially & mentally.

OUR FACILITIES INCLUDE: • Administrative Offices • Excellent Free Parking facilities • Coffee Lounge • Crafts Room – a unique selection of quality sewing, quilting and crafts • Easy accessibility to all of the building (handicapped accessible) • Games Rooms (cards and billiards) • Great Hall with Stage equipped with curtains, lighting and sound system • Kitchen, modern and spacious • Meeting Rooms • Washroom Facilities (ample)

Our Programs How We Do It

There is something for everyone. Some activities you will find at the Drop-In Centre include: • A variety of Card & Board Games: Billiards/Snooker/8 Ball, Bingo (licensed), Mah Jong, Scrabble, • Crafts and Craft Shop, • Carpet Bowling, Line Dancing (from novice to advanced) • Computer Access, Classes and WiFi • Medical Qi Gong, Pilates, Tai Chi Chuan, Yoga • Music & Dance: Sing-a-long Choir, Ukulele Strumalong, Social Dances (Friday & Sunday evenings) • Social Dinners, Tuesday Lunches •  Open to public for Community Events

What You Can Do

You can support our Centre by becoming a member & joining in the daily activities. We are a volunteer based organization with 2 paid staff. We are always in need of volunteers to help run our many events; keep our kitchen running smoothly, bingo, front desk greeters and many more
