Oliver Senior Center

To help improve physical and emotional well-being for our seniors. We provide an excellent facility complete with a lounge, pool room (three tables), a coffee room, state of the art kitchen, floor curling (shuffleboard) area, and a huge hardwood dance floor with a stage. We also provide many activities that exercise the muscles in the body and in the mind.

Our signageOur Impact Why We Exist

We are a non-profit society that caters to the needs and wants of the senior community in Oliver, BC and surrounding area.

Our Story What We Do

The aims of the Oliver Senior Centre Society are to promote development and improvement of the mental, social, and physical well being of Senior Citizens by providing a venue for recreation and entertainment through dancing, participating in various floor games, card games, playing pool, etc.' Our Saturday morning dances with our famous volunteer band are well renowned and are second to none. Also included is our famous Friday afternoon Bingo. The building of this Centre was started in June, 1988 and was ready for use in December, 1988. What a remarkable achievement, especially when all this was accomplished mainly with volunteers using money raised by themselves. Their generosity of time, effort and fund raising is indeed a tribute to this building which hosts thousands of people participating in the various events every year. We are very proud we have been able to continue this concept to this day, and being a non-profit Society, the cost of membership is able to remain with the lowest fee in the South Okanagan.
