Our Impact Why We Exist
Our projects to inproved our community for the last 36 years range from supplying hot breakfasts to the okanagan falls elementary school and to the firefighters fighting the fire threatening okangan falls in 2003. We have improved our parks by installing sprinkler systems into some of them. Our support of BC Lions Society Camp Winfield has been ongoing since 1980with Camperships for local users. WE were one of the first supporters of the community bandshell in Centenial Park. Our support of local students with bursaries for graduating grade 12 atudents from okanagan falls. with approximatly 70 atudents to continuing their education. WE ar a non profit Society registered with The BC Society Act

Serve a hot breakfast every Thursday at the Okanagan Falls Elementary School
Coats for Kids project supplies winter clothing for children needing the warm clothing
Easter Egg Hunt has being going on for the children of Okanagan Falls for over 20 years
School Bursaries for high school graduating students from Okanagan Falls
Support Camp Winfield with camperships for campers using the camp
Have a fund raising project to assist the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides in preparing dogs to be helper dogs
Collect used Eyeglasses for distribution to needed reciepients in devolping countries.
Support for Lions Clubs International Foundation for international disaster relief.
Volunteer, help and support the Canada Day Celebration in Okanagan Falls
Support and participate in the Christmas Light up in Okangan Falls
Help and support the Helping Hands program
Our Programs How We Do It
To support and finace our projects we do community fund raisers, apply for lottery funds approach local business for support both as a donation and an inkind donation of labor or expertise on a project. Lions Club members also donate a large amount of volunteer labor to projects. Total In Kind donations and labour at $10.00 per hr comes to 1,600 hrs $16,570.00
What You Can Do
To assist or become involved with the Okanagan Falls Lions CLub talk to a lions club member. They will be able to direct you to the appropiate lions club member. Membership in the Lions club is by invitation. Also contact the president at 250 497 8486. We meet on the 2nd and 4th monday of each month at the Okangan Falls :Legion, Veterans Way Okangan Falls.
