Kaleden Parks and Recreation Commission

Our Impact Why We Exist

The Kaleden Parks and Recreation Commission advises on matters that pertain to Kaleden parks and trails. The Commission works to enhance the recreational opportunities and infrastructure available within Kaleden, while respecting the heritage and natural features already present in the area

Our Story What We Do

The RDOS Area D Community Services Department was started in 1997 to facilitate and oversee the Parks and Recreation activities for Area D which included Kaleden. The Kaleden Parks and Recreation Commission was formed per municipal bylaw 1555 in 1997 to oversee the fiduciary and community parks and recreation responsibilities for the Kaleden area. The Parks and Recreation commission is a volunteer organization wherein Directors are appointed for two year terms by the Board of the RDOS.

Our Programs How We Do It

To provide recreational and social activities for the Kaleden community. Our mandate includes creating opportunities for community members through the development and maintenance of diversified programs and community special events. Kaleden Parks and Recreation is committed to the preservation of natural resources. This is accomplished through the stewardship of the community's parks and natural areas, and through the provision of quality recreational facilities and programs.

What You Can Do

Kal-Rec is always looking for volunteers.
